Cargo shipment missing, confused crew members say
A bizarre incident took place on the Savannah Express as it departed the Blackway rail yards on its way back north.
Last night, workers on the train reported a “crash” and a loud noise “just like tearing metal” while the train was still in motion.
When the train arrived in Lubbock the next morning, they found a train car with a ragged hole right through the middle.
The hole was uneven, jagged, and like nothing the crew had seen before
The train was carrying (among other things) structural steel intended for a new high rise in downtown Lubbock.
The shipment of structural steel wasn't there. All that remained was the remains of a train car and some baffled crew members.

An unexplained substation outage leaves the city dark for hours.
At around, 12:00 am local time, roughly half the town of Blackway, Texas lost power for several hours.
According to police reports, multiple eyewitnesses said they saw strange figures in and around a substation in the early evening earlier that night.
Local resident Carl Cargile told the Record that around 11:00 pm, he saw what looked like hooded figures moving around at the substation across the street.
“They were big fellers, too,” Carl added. “Must’ve been at least 6 feet tall, every single one of them. Maybe the varsity team was playing a prank? Weird prank if you ask me.”
Other witnesses saw sparks from the station or heard popping sounds from that general direction at around the same time.
Whatever the reason, Heartland Energy reported an unexpected energy surge at 12:00 am that corresponded to the time the power outage took place.
A spokesperson for Heartland Energy said that the Blackway substation was due for structural upgrades later this week. The spokesperson maintained the timing of the upgrades was purely coincidental.
